Magical Skills.

Below is a reference for elemental abilities that can be earned for those who are willing to face the test. Beware, for such talents shall be risked at quite a price, but each skill level will open a door of possibility and, perhaps more importantly, power. Most levels may be earned only through winning at The Hive and through successful quests given by colossus, juggernauts, or special characters (i.e: the wood's witch) although unique opportunities may always arise unexpectedly. Take heart, brave one, and should you choose to risk it all...know that glory and legend are waiting at the winner's circle.

While specific abilities are listed at each Magical Level, these lists are only a reference. We could not possible type out all of the many ways in which you can use magic at each level. This list is to give players a relative idea of how to use their magic. Continue to be creative and come up with your own unique ways to use the magic, if you would like, but do not try to cause mass destruction at Level 1! For instance, when a higher level elemental is able to give an "ability" to other individuals, the "ability" should not exceed a Level 3. If there is a question as to whether a player has used magic at a level that is higher than where the character is at, please notify staff and judgment will be passed asap.

Level 2 / adept

pull warm or cold air to change surroundings

push victims off balance

suck breath/knock the wind out of lungs

hover for short periods

Level 3 / endowed

call forth storms, mists, fogs

pin/put pressure against opponents for short periods of time

weave dust devils and create low visibility

throw objects

fly/glide for moderate distances

Level 4 / elder mastery

create sonic booms to deafen and disorient

fly, soar, and glide

create temporary force fields

call forth wind tunnels

uproot, break away, and levitate large pieces of landscape

create new growth, kill off growth over small areas

weave nets and snares out of growth

climb and descend swifter, increased sure-footedness, more agile

maneuvering in challenging terrain

Level 2 / adept

create earth tremors/quicksand/sink holes to displace opponents

camouflage with surroundings

manipulate growth or soil into temporary prisons

Level 3 / endowed

create earthquakes/landslides/avalanches

burrow or tunnel swiftly underground

form armour out of earth, stone, etc.

create poultices to help heal

Level 4 / elder mastery

open large crevasses in the ground

create massive landscape changes

pull magma from the earth

can create fire over small areas of body but emotions control

whether fire hurts to touch

Level 2 / adept

cauderize wounds

melt materials

cause fevers in victims

can throw and breathe moderate streams of fire

alter land temperatures

can create large areas of dense smoke/ember clouds to obscure

vision and choke

can set others on fire and deform with burns

Level 4 / elder mastery

can call meteors to earth

can pull internal heat from victims and cryogenically freeze them

can cause severe, debilitating burns

can cause splitting, parched skin

can call gentle rainstorms and snow

can swim further, dive deeper, cross water based landscapes faster

limited water manipulation abilities

Level 2 / adept

can form and throw icicles, hail, sleet, water

can breathe underwater for short periods

can parch throats and temporarily disable speaking

can temporarily freeze, frost, or slow victims

Level 3 / endowed

can call forth flash floods and acid rain

can breathe underwater for long periods

can alter entire body to a water form

can control geysers, steam, mist, frost, snow, and rain

Level 4 / elder mastery

can fill opponent's lungs with fluid

can create riptides, whirlpools, and hurricanes

can flash-freeze victims and trap in ice prison


Level 1 / green as summer grass

can see more clearly with little light

body takes on soft bioluminescence

can summon bioluminescent mushrooms to sprout and clouds of

fireflies to light the way

can raise spirits, happiness, and serenity in others

Level 2 / adept

can conjure lighted strands on areas of body

can reflect light rays, forming a reflection of yourself elsewhere that

others will take as the real thing

can cause physical pain to those who thrive in darkness or evil

Level 3 / endowed

can cause blistered skin and burns to those who thrive in darkness or

evil

can summon mirages that do not exist but will hypnotize others

can summon solar flares to disorient, give headaches, and motion

sickness to victims

Level 4 / elder mastery

can call forth the full light of the sun and blind others

can create total light or total darkness for extended periods

can use light photons to pummel and disfigure victims

can affect the dreams of others

can cause feelings of despair, fear, and apathy in others

Level 2 / adept

can drain the pallor of skin to camouflage in shadows

can cause others to hallucinate continuously

can summon night creatures such as spiders, toads, serpents, etc.

Level 3 / endowed

can send victims into brief, but recurring comas

can turn victims into vampires or weres that become monsters after

dark

can ground other elementals with feelings of hopelessness

can make oneself to appear as a nightmarish figure to others to

deceive

Level 4 / elder mastery

can inflict recurring, paralyzing seizures

can summon black holes to release demons

can make victims see things that are not there

can teleport for moderate distances

can put on "glamour," convincing others that you are something or

someone else

can control the speech and limited actions of a victim; can make

them believe he/she is someone else

Level 4 / elder mastery

can possess a small group or individual with total mind control

can make a victim lose their mind completely to speak or hear total

nonsense

can bring nightmares to life

can cause a creature to waste away gradually over time when in the

vicinity of the user

can hear and see the dead

can inflict rigor mortis on living creatures for a short period of time

Level 2 / adept

can become a ghost for brief periods, passing through and

floating lowly over solid objects to the other side

can communicate fluently with the dead

can summon one dead creature to either take a hit or attack in

battle

can cause moderate decay on an area over time

Level 3 / endowed

can kill oneself briefly and resurrect

can become a ghost for long periods

can dismiss/summon small bands of the dead and can control them

can push a creature on the brink of death

can destroy a small span of land, making the ground corrupt and

disallowing growth for a certain amount of time

can dismiss, summon, and control hoardes of the dead freely and at

will

Level 3 / endowed

can summon feral beasts to protect and do your bidding

can manipulate organic material (for example: to create new body

parts for brief periods)

can transform landscapes to those with more living material

can reverse or fast forward the aging process- bringing back or

putting individuals at the brink of death

can create chimaeras, creatures of many parts melded together to

serve you

are immortal and can become a colossus or juggernaut


Level 1 / green as summer grass

can train longer and harder, growing slightly larger, bulkier, and

stronger than others

can use body parts or head to hit and briefly disorient or knock out

victims

can sustain more attacks with less damage

Level 2 / adept

can successfully capture any individual from the enemy team before

battle

all successful hits cause massive bruising, swelling, and difficulty with

moving for the victim

can heal open wounds instantaneously and stop blood flow

can reduce the damage of major wounds by half

Level 3 / endowed

can choose a second "skin" for battle or soul-tie a creature to fight

beside you

all successful hits cause broken bones, fractures, or dislocations

can give a second "skin" or ability or body part to all comrades in

arms

Level 4 / elder mastery

can summon a colossus or juggernaut to go to war beside you

can give a second "skin" and ability or body part to all comrades in

arms

can "brainwash" up to 2 individuals, including from the opposite side,

to go to battle for your cause or sit out of battle

can thrive under adverse conditions (i.e: unaffected by poor

environments or low food supplies)

can puff out and deflate skin to buffer attacks

Level 2 / adept

can stunt the growth of offspring

can cause faintness in others followed by brief, relapsing comas

can cause deteriorating physical states in victims (jutting ribs,

swollen belly, sunken eyes, etc.)

can vomit acidic bile that briefly blinds and burns flesh

Level 3 / endowed

can cause mouths to appear on victims which snap and bite those

who come close

can cause insatiable hunger for food, power, partners, etc. and

cause victims to wreak havoc even when against their nature

can deform victims

Level 4 / elder mastery

can cause offspring to be born as demons

can ruin food supplies in entire realms, forcing all inhabitants to

relocate for 1 month real time

can become a demon and return to normal at will

can cause festering, weeping, ugly wounds on victims

Level 2 / adept

can call mass amounts of vermin to pester and bite groups of

individuals for days

can cause illness to make plants and animals to attack unprovoked

can give an individual a non-lethal, irritating, contagious disease that

is passed between others

Level 3 / endowed

can cause chronic or debilitating sickness in individuals

can curse an individual or group with a plague that continues through

generation until cure is found

can inflict total sterility among a group of victims

Level 4 / elder mastery

can cause slow, agonizing death in an individual and longer rebirth

process (longer time as a reborn offspring)

can cause massive plagues to spread

can alter the entire form of a victim
