After posting on the joining or adoption boards with a new character, players may begin to write for their characters wherever they wish. As this game is meant to be more realistic in nature, there are no specific "herdless" or "fighting" boards. Fighting, joining herds, etc. is encouraged to be spontaneously initiated on the part of the characters in whatever realm they choose and at whatever time they wish. There are, however, lands listed under the wander link (such as carpathea, redwood forest, etc.) that are unregulated and offer opportunities for interaction among all site-wide characters (similar to "relaxation" or "mingle" boards, if you will).
This is a common ground, located on Surreal Isle where all sitewide animals can rendezvous. As true with any location on Surreal Isle, any mythical traits of animals disappear once the border to the Isle is crossed and reappear when the mythical animal leaves the Isle. Humans are not allowed here and will be lost to the sea should they attempt to cross over to any area on the Isle.
This is a special area, located between the Hinterlands and the city of High Royal where thieves, colossus, juggernauts, and Ezra's Manse may all be found. The thieves serve the will of Ezra and run her many errands within all realms throughout the site. The colossus and juggernauts may venture onto any sitewide boards but this area is more or less their "home." Ezra may be sought by domesticated animals for freedom to live in the wild while city dwellers must ask for permission to go into the wilds in hopes of capturing a wild animal to domesticate (or face the consequences).
Surreal Isle can be thought of as an interactive, standalone complex of the site as the Isle can function independently of Desidimor Nia if need be. This is the area where players interested in playing a
The Hinterlands are the lands between the shores of the mainland and the city of High Royal. Undomesticated, wild animals, both mythical and realistic may live in this region. Unlike Surreal Isle, any species of animal may live together, be it predator or prey, given the desires of the realm leaders. Humans or humanoids (such as "weres") could live here if the city or Ezra's Manse are not quite to their taste.
High Royal is a city beyond the normal scope, it is, in short, a single city consisting of many intermingling civilizations/colonies/townships/regions. Huge beyond belief and stretching for miles and miles and miles, many landscape regions and climates may be found in areas around the city. The city is run, not by kings and queens, but by various gangs who scrap amongst themselves for territory rights. Domesticated animals may also be found roaming the streets, with or without, their human counterparts. It is a dangerous area, prone to disaster and plague, where some parts of the city are rich and magnificent while others are drenched in filth. The time period is a melding of past and present, all aspects of the city, from vehicles/buildings/wardrobe/living is a mixture of medieval/futuristic/present. Think of a crossing of the movies Star Wars, Braveheart, Gladiator, Star Trek, Princess Mononoke, Naruto, Harry Potter, Interview with a Vampire, Gangs of New York, I am Legend, The Walking Dead, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Matrix, and many more!
A bit like The Hunger Games and the gladiator arenas of old, this is where competitions are held, glory can be won, and horros can be experienced. Like its name suggests, competitors travel through one of thousands of pitch-black tunnels through the depths of The Spine- the most expansive and impressive mountain chain of Desidimor Nia that runs over land and underwater across all of this world. At the end of this long trek is the opening into a vast cavern that differs in landscape, climate, and obstacles between every competition. Moderation will post all descriptions and pertinent information when the time comes.
The Black Market is where you can cash in ooc to earn baubles, charms, skills, and magic for your characters to use during play. No real life money is used at the market and Desidimor Nia is a free of charge game as always. Characters earn money through gameplay, quests, games, etc.
These are special groups with a certain agenda or code characters wish to fight for. Any interested character can ask moderation to initiate a secret society, even if a similar society already exists.
