"A good post should be 1 to 2 paragraphs long. Remember at least 5 sentences per paragraph. The longer and more descriptive you make your post the more likely you'll have a lot more replies.

I know your wondering how do I make the post long if I only have a simple reply. Well if you read on you'll find out how to make your post more interesting.

1. Talk about the weather, was the sun shining, or was it cloudly and grey. Maybe a storm was approaching, and the winds where picking up 'ripping through the grass' etc.

2. Talk about things that may have happened recently to your character. Maybe they where just in a fight recently as was wounded.

3. Talk about feelings. Is your character in a sane state of mind or are they a little on the edge. Are they happy, etc and why? 

4.You need to find a way to make a distinction from your character's thoughts and what they are saying. For example when they are talking you could do this, this, or even this. 

5. Another thing you can type about is mabye your characters thoughts on other equine.

Regarding Stats

Same credit as above. Now remember, Surreal is it's own individual game. We have some different rules, so adjust this as needed.

"I've seen some really good stat posts and I've seen some horrible stat posts. And most of the time the reason why the stat post can be bad is because that person isn't sure how to create their own character. Well in this post I will show you a bad post and explain what's wrong with it.

Name: Star
Age: 21
Breed: Horse
Height: 13h
Gender: female
Alliance: Undecided
Lineage: Lady X Rex
Full Appearance: Black body with black mane and white tail. White legs and white face.
History: Was abandoned as a foal.
Now I will explain whats wrong with this post.

Name: The names Star, lightning, thunder, etc are too common be more unique like for example Saga. Remember; do NOT use another player's name.

Age: In reality that horse is pretty old. Starting out I would suggest that you make your character somewhere between 2 to 10 years old. Horse can leave up to 30+ years and on rarely sometimes even into their 40's.

Breed: The term Horse and Pony are not breeds. You must have a real breed of horse like Arabian, Mustang, Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred, etc. Those are only a few of hundreds of breeds. [See our Breeds List for different breeds]

Height: Horse are measured in hands. Pony are 58" or 14.2 hands or under. Horses are 59" or 14.3 hands and over. So if your character is a Thoroughbred is highly unlikely that it would be 13hands tall. If you still need help about the Hand measurements click here.

Gender: On Elyon [and Surreal] your character will either be a mare(female) or a stallion(Male)...there is absolutely no Geldings, as there aren't any humans on Elyon [and Surreal]. [BUT a stallion CAN be sterile]

Alliance: You can't be undecided your are either Light or Dark, and their are no neutrals.

Lineage: The first horse in lineage is the Sire (Father) and then it's the Dam (Mother) On Elyon all horses you create will have unknown linage. All equine born on Elyon will have lineage.

Full Appearance: The problem with the sample above is there isn't any detail. Remember the most important things are details. If you need more help on coat colors, patterns, and other markings click here for more info.

History: Yet again not enough details. And remember their are no humans on Elyon. So no one's characters have had human interactions.
